COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Synovus reported in an SEC filing that it owns 1,762,941 shares or 16.3 percent of the common stock of United Insurance Holdings Corp. (OTC BB: UIHC.OB).
United Insurance last traded on June 15, 2011, at $4.25 per share, so the Sunovus holdings are worth $7.49 million.
St. Petersburg-based United Insurance Holdings Corp., through its subsidiaries, writes and services property and casualty insurance policies in Florida and South Carolina. The company is led by CEO Donald J. Cronin.
