Atlanta, GA - The Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) hosted its 2nd Group of Asset Servicing Professionals (GRASP) Luncheon Forum on January 12, 2012, at Maggiano's Little Italy at Cumberland Mall. The purpose of GRASP is to promote networking opportunities and offer additional benefits to CBA members involved in the origination, perfection and servicing of collateralized assets, loss mitigation and special assets.

The panel participants included Catherine "Cat" Benitez, manager of the OREO Department at Community and Southern Bank; Susan Howick, partner at Howick, Westfall, McBryan & Kaplan, LLP; and, Cleve Gaddis, a real estate broker with Re/Max Center in North Atlanta. Cat Benitez spoke on the topic, "Is That OREO Property Ready for Market?". Susan Howick's topic was "Is it Better to Sue the Debtor or Foreclose and Confirm?". Cleve Gaddis revealed, "The Five Things Banks Should do to Ensure the Highest Sales Price for REO Properties". Each of these speakers were very informative and attendees left with a better sense of understanding on presented topics.
