Taste of Atlanta Teams up with UberEATS

9/21/15

Stomachs throughout the metro area are already growling in anticipation of this year’s Taste of Atlanta, returning to Midtown at Tech Square Friday, September 25 – Sunday, September 27. This famed food, wine, beer and cocktail festival is set to feature five cooking stages, live entertainment, samplings from over 100 restaurants and more. To tide over hungry food lovers in the final days leading up to the festival, Taste of Atlanta has teamed up with UberEATS, a new service from Uber that delivers meals in 10 minutes or less.

From Monday, September 21 through Friday, September 25 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Atlantans can get their fill of lunchtime fare from select festival restaurants and surprise festival ticket giveaways during UberEATS Taste of Atlanta Takeover Week

“Technology has been such a big focus for us this year, especially with the launch of the new cashless payment system and RFID digital wristbands,” said Dale DeSena, founder and president of Taste of Atlanta. “This partnership with UberEATS enforces that commitment to keeping the festival on trend and up-to-speed in the digital sphere.”

Ordering UberEATS is similar to requesting a ride, where users tap the plate icon at the top of their app, select a featured menu item and receive almost instant delivery to delicious local dishes from the city’s best restaurants. In conjunction with the launch of Taste of Atlanta Takeover Week on Monday, September 21, UberEATs service areas, which currently include Downtown and Midtown, will expand to Buckhead as well. Highlighted restaurants participating in UberEATS Taste of Atlanta Takeover Week include:

·         Flip Burger

·         gusto! Wood Fire Grill

·         Smokebelly BBQ

·         Bellwood’s

·         Cibo e Beve

·         Bhojanic

·         D.B.A. Barbeque
