The National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals (NAPAP) has named Porter Keadle Moore Audit Partner Tim Messman to its 2015 list of Top 10 Public Accounting Professionals in Georgia. NAPAP is devoted to recognizing public accounting professionals who demonstrate extraordinary knowledge, skill, experience, expertise and success in their field.
The Top 10 list includes leading CPAs from all over Georgia. The Academy’s Board of Governors selects the accountants based on information from confidential nominations. The nominees are judged on criteria including experience, publications and awards, certifications, areas of expertise, leadership, and reviews by clients and peers.
Messman primarily provides accounting and auditing services to financial services companies – including banks, credit unions and insurers – both public and private. He also has taught auditing classes for state banking organizations, and speaks frequently on accounting-related topics.
In addition to being a CPA, Messman is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), the premier accreditation for CPAs providing business valuation and litigation consulting services. The certification qualifies him to provide services including strategic consulting for owners interested in learning the true value of their businesses.
He is a member of several trade organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, Community Bankers Association of Georgia, Georgia Credit Union Affiliates and League of Southeast Credit Unions. He is also active with Florida State University’s Seminole Connection Program.
