Holsinger, P.C., one of the largest accounting firms in thePittsburgh area, with headquarters in Wexford, Pennsylvania, has announced the opening of a new office inCharleston, South Carolina. Holsinger, a certified public accounting firm, serves clients in the U.S. and abroad with a wide spectrum of tax and audit services. Charleston is Holsinger's second satellite office, joining another in Honolulu, Hawaii, and will bring the full capabilities of the Holsinger practice to privately held companies, public sector organizations and high-wealth individuals in the Charleston area.
Holsinger believes the Charleston, South Carolina, market represents a prime opportunity to geographically expand its footprint, as well as its range of accounting services. Charleston, commonly recognized as one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the U.S., is the second largest city in South Carolina and has one of the largest ports in the country. The market is currently experiencing a boom in industrial investment and development that makes it an attractive opportunity for the firm.
Ann Fleming, CPA, former Holsinger manager and now a resident of Charleston, will manage the office. She rejoins the firm as a partner in the tax practice and as a vice president in the company. She will also support key Holsinger tax clients in Pittsburgh. Ms. Fleming was with Holsinger for 3+ years through December 2013. During that time she focused on the tax business, and is credited with instituting a number of technological advances and practices for the firm, including a solution for federal tax forms that automated the filing process.
More notably, Ms. Fleming has a master's degree in taxation and holds U.S. Court Tax Practitioners (USTCP) credentials that allow her, a non-attorney, to practice before the tax court. There are only 250 such licensed practitioners in the United States.
In making the announcement of the new Charleston office and the return of Ms. Fleming, Holsinger partner and vice president Bill Collier, CPA, MST, expressed great excitement. "We have longed to have Ann rejoin us," said Collier. "Her elite skills, character and attitude make her an important part of our team as we strive to best serve our clients." Ms. Fleming added, "I share in the excitement and look forward to again working with a great group of colleagues. Holsinger is unique. The exposure at Holsinger to challenging projects kept me motivated and encouraged me to expand my professional skills. I have missed that environment. I expect to now deliver a level of service and capability not commonly found in the Charleston area."
The opening of the Charleston office is effective immediately. For any business inquiries, Ms. Fleming can be reached at 843-936-3590 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The new Charleston office is located in Mt. Pleasant, a suburb of Charleston.
