Taylor English Duma LLP announces the addition of Diana Sarju Kim as counsel to the firm’s Employment and Labor Relations group. Kim, who was previously with Seyfarth Shaw LLP, counsels clients on various employment matters and has represented companies across a number of industries and specialties.
Kim focuses her practice on representing employers in single-plaintiff and multi-plaintiff litigation involving claims of discrimination based on various protected categories, including race, national origin, sex, age, religion, disability and pregnancy, as well as claims for retaliation. She has experience representing employers, employee benefits plans and fiduciaries in employee benefits litigation brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. Kim also counsels clients on hiring, termination of employees, employee grievances, harassment, employee handbooks and policies, leave administration and other personnel issues.
Kim serves the community through pro bono work and diversity initiatives, including her establishment of a pro bono initiative through the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN) that provides legal representation to underprivileged victims of human trafficking violations. She is also an active member of the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association, previously serving as a board member, treasurer and secretary, and serves as a member of the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association.
Kim earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University and her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
