Shelly Kay Joins Crowe Horwath as a Tax Partner

Shelly Kay, CPA, joined Crowe Horwath as a tax partner and will split his time between the Atlanta and Washington D.C. offices. He comes to Crowe with more than 30 years of tax experience. His primary focus will be leading the firm’s IRS controversies practice, as well as strengthening the firm’s Washington national tax practice. Prior to moving to the private sector, he was the IRS Chief of Appeals, reporting directly to the commissioner. Kay received his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School. He is a member of the Bar for the states of Georgia, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and District of Columbia.
