TAG 6th Annual Diversity Leadership Awards Winners Announce

The TAG Human Resources and Diversity society, announced the winners for the 6th Annual Diversity Leadership Awards.

The Diversity Awards ceremony was held at The Buckhead Club in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, August 29, 2016. The event is made possible by Silver Sponsors, Cox Automotive and Manhattan Associates.

The moderator was A.C. Chan, Founder and CEO of Power Slide LLC. The panelists were Sarah Ming Hsi, CIO of MARTA; David McCollum, Talent Acquisition Consultant of Assurant; Serena Sacks, CIO of Fulton County Public Schools; and Tia Buckman-White, CEO of Notre Internationale.

The 6th Annual Diversity Awards recognized both individuals and businesses that have demonstrated exceptional efforts to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace, embracing all employees – regardless of race, faith, religion, gender, gender identity, military status, sexual orientation, age, disability or culture – to achieve positive outcomes at work and in the community.

This year’s winners were chosen from among 18 finalists in 2 categories.

Winners were chosen by a team of impartial committee members who considered such criteria as the role the nominee played in the diversity initiative; the size of the initiative — in other words, how many people were impacted by this individual’s efforts; the impact the initiative had on the morale of the company’s members and stakeholders; and, the quantifiable impact of the nominee’s initiative on the company’s revenue, profitability and/or efficiencies.
