Bennett Thrasher LLP is pleased to announce its participation in Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School's Corporate Work Study Program. Four students from the Midtown school will work alongside Bennett Thrasher's professionals five full days per month. In exchange for their participation, students' earnings cover the majority of tuition for their college-prep education. Bennett Thrasher is one of over 100 Atlanta companies participating in the program.

On August 19, two members of Bennett Thrasher's human resources team, Stephanie McCullough and Bailey Maxwell, attended Cristo Rey's "Draft Day," where the four students were called to the stage and drafted – NFL style – to the firm. The students will start their jobs at Bennett Thrasher on September 6th.
More than 380 ninth, tenth and eleventh grade students are participating in the third annual Corporate Work Study Program, which allows these high schoolers to gain "real-world" experience at leading Atlanta corporations and firms.
"We are in year three [of this program] and thrilled at the ongoing support of the Atlanta business community," said Bill Garrett, president of Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School. "The lessons our students learn from working in a corporate setting simply can't be replicated in the classroom. Our job partners and their employees are able to participate in an effort that truly changes the lives of our students. It is a win-win for everyone."
The Cristo Rey Network, composed of 32 Catholic college preparatory high schools, designed the Corporate Work Study Program, which includes participation from more than 2,300 businesses across the country. Students from the schools go on to college in record numbers, in large part because of their early exposure to the working world.
