Corporate Counsel's annual report, "Who Represents America's Biggest Companies," was compiled by searching Lexis CounselLink and other public records to find outside counsel used for five key litigation areas. Corporate Counsel is published by American Lawyer Media and is the most renowned integrated media source covering legal affairs, business issues and government mandates affecting corporate America and the in-house legal community. Every year, the publication tracks the close client-law firm relationships and reports on who is representing whom in several practice areas, including contracts litigation, labor litigation, torts litigation, intellectual property litigation and labor/employment law. Research is conducted in July and August, and includes the previous calendar year from January through December.
