Tracy S. Plott, a partner in Ballad Spahr's Atlanta office, has been recognized as one of the state's top lawyers by Georgia Trend magazine, which named her to its prestigious 2016 Legal Elite list.
To select the 2016 Legal Elite, the statewide monthly business magazineinvited all Georgia lawyers to submit nominations through its website of attorneys they consider best in 14 practice categories. When the ballots were counted, Ms. Plott was recognized as one of the state's top vote-getters in the category of Real Estate/Construction Law. The 2016 Legal Elite results—the 14th year the magazine has compiled the list—are featured in the December issue of Georgia Trend and on the magazine's website.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, Ms. Plott practices real estate law with an emphasis on secured lending. She has significant experience in asset-based financing, restructuring of debt obligations, bond financing, joint ventures, loan syndications, and limited partnerships. Her practice encompasses construction, permanent, and mezzanine lending, as well as asset-based financing and synthetic leases.
Ms. Plott also represents corporate and other clients in the acquisition, development, leasing, and disposition of real property. She represents clients in the commercial, industrial, health care, and recreational communities. She has experience with forming joint ventures for the acquisition, development, and management of real property.
In addition, Ms. Plott represents lending clients in non-judicial foreclosures and confirmations of non-judicial foreclosures and provides support for wealth management and fiduciary litigation relating to real estate matters. Her pro bono experience includes negotiating the lease for the Atlanta headquarters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
