TAG FinTech Hosts Seventh Annual TAG FinTech GA Conference

TAG FinTech, the financial industry group of Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), announced that it will be hosting its seventh annual TAG FinTech GA 2017 conference. The event will take place at the Atlanta Renaissance Waverly Hotel on Feb. 9, 2017.

The TAG FinTech GA conference is the premier FinTech event of the Southeast, featuring high-profile financial technology leaders from all over Georgia and across the U.S. and profound, content-rich dialogue and networking. This year's sessions include expert speakers and panelists discussing: (Re)Born in the ATL: FinTech Company Success Stories, Merchant-Driven Innovation at the Point-of-Sale, Alternative Finance: The New Status Quo in Lending & Credit, Risk, Security & Fraud in Financial Services, and more.

This year’s event will see Steve Johnson, Co-Founder & Sr. Managing Director at Brightlane Partners LLC, posthumously receive the FinTech Lifetime Achievement Award and become the latest inductee for the TAG FinTech Hall of Fame. His wife Julie Johnson will be accepting the award on his behalf.

Attendees will see the pitches for the top finalist companies for third annual TAG FinTech Innovation Award. This award recognizes Georgia startups that contribute to the FinTech ecosystem. The winner will receive a $50,000 grant.

The 2017 event will also feature the Innovation Alley exhibit hall area showcasing Georgia-based financial technology companies from global leaders to emerging startups, as well as the inaugural TAG FinTech ADVANCE Awards which recognizes innovative U.S. FinTech companies with ties to Georgia.
