Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Jeffrey J. Nix as a partner in the firm’s Construction Practice. Nix represents stakeholders involved in every facet of the construction industry.

Nix focuses his practice on issues of risk management and dispute avoidance throughout all stages of construction and across all sectors of the industry. He counsels clients through multi-million dollar disputes, including acceleration, bidding, changes, defects, delays, economic waste and other common conflicts, and through drafting and negotiating contracts to support the many forms of project delivery methods used throughout the industry. Prior to working in the legal field, Nix gained valuable experience in the construction industry as a field engineer and superintendent and acquired a passion for construction at a young age.

Active in the community, Nix frequently donates his time to pro bono work. He is a board member and pro bono volunteer for the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation serving the underprivileged and working poor and a pro bono volunteer for the Atlanta Legal Aid Society providing advice, support and legal assistance to veterans and their families.

Nix is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the Wentworth Institute of Technology and his law degree from Boston University.
