CBRE Group, Inc. (NYSE:CBG) announced today that Ireland’s largest international customer experience provider, Voxpro, has selected Athens, Georgia, for its third U.S. location. Headquartered in Cork, Ireland, Voxpro provides a premium customer support experience to some of the world’s most disruptive and well-known global brands. With a Center of Excellence in Folsom, California, and a sales office in San Francisco, California, the new Athens Center of Excellence will be Voxpro’s first East Coast location.

Chris Stelling and Ryan Irvine from CBRE’s Atlanta office and Kim Follett from CBRE’s Sacramento office represented Voxpro, and Carl Nichols and Daniel Marks of Nichols Land & Investment Company represented the landlord.

Voxpro will initially occupy 20,000 sq. ft. at One Press Place, the former Athens Banner-Herald newspaper office and printing building, with options for future expansion to meet its growing needs. While once the sole occupant, the newspaper has heavily consolidated staff and removed the in-house printing press. The additional available space has allowed additional businesses to lease portions of the landmark property and opened up potential for further growth with future redevelopment plans for the former printing press area of the building. With a trend toward adaptive reuse, One Press Place is joining the list of historic buildings across the nation redeveloping into creative office space. Along with Voxpro and the Athens Banner-Herald, One Press Place tenants include tech companies RoundSphere, Seller Labs, Bookscouter and Snagshout.

Voxpro cites proximity to talent, including the University of Georgia’s more than 36,000 students, an emerging local population, walkable amenities and a lower cost of living as some of the major attractions to Athens. Additionally, the space provides a uniqueness and authenticity that meshes well with the company’s people-centric culture and attracts the type of employees needed to sustain its rapidly growing business.
