2/4/17

Southwest Airlines and Stratix Corporation have been named in the 2017 Modern Mobility Innovation Awards for their rollout of 14,000 iPad minis to Southwest's flight attendants. Presented by TechTarget’s Modern Mobility magazine, the program highlights enterprise mobility projects that are delivering exceptional value and impact for their organizations.

Southwest and Stratix “demonstrate how organizations that embrace mobility and take advantage of cutting-edge technology can transform their processes and achieve new levels of productivity,” wrote Colin Steele, editor-in-chief of Modern Mobility.

Southwest introduced the iPad minis to replace its 700-page paper flight manuals, creating more efficiency for flight attendants while presenting new opportunities to enhance the customer experience. Norcross, Georgia-based Stratix, a managed mobility services provider, partnered with Southwest to provide solutions that included procurement, deployment and ongoing support.

“Stratix helped to make this critical transition seamless for our flight attendants,” says Ron Freer, senior manager of strategic inflight planning at Southwest. “They offer proven expertise in delivering and supporting business-critical mobile solutions, and we look forward to continuing our partnership to support our evolving mobile ecosystem.”

“Organizations like Southwest are leading the way in achieving new levels of productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction through mobility,” Stratix CEO Gina Gallo adds. “We’re proud to partner with Southwest to ensure the company is receiving the greatest value from its mobile investments.”
