DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Daniel Simon, a partner based in the Atlanta office’s Restructuring practice, has been named to the Daily Report 2017 On the Rise list. Since 2002 the publication’s editors have recognized young lawyers they predict will “make lasting contributions to Georgia’s legal community.”
Simon was selected for his ability to lead large-scale national and international complex restructurings, while also counseling various Atlanta-based venture and private equity clients in restructuring and bankruptcy matters.
His corporate and restructuring practice includes representation of a range of clients on strategic alternatives, corporate transactions and general corporate governance matters to best position them during distressed periods. Simon also has significant experience with client matters related to the oil and gas, retail, health care, medical services, and technology industries.
In addition, he regularly counsels clients on all aspects of chapter 11 proceedings, including sales of assets pursuant to section 363 of the US Bankruptcy Code, confirmation of plans of reorganization, resolution of claims, and prosecution and defense of various adversary proceedings.
