Health Leaders Share How Tech and Health Intertwine

4/19/17

The way healthcare consumers are treated is rapidly changing, which can prove beneficial to providers and patients alike. The MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta is focusing its April event around Population Health Management (PHM), the practice of aggregating patient data across multiple health information platforms to creating a single, actionable record.

The discussion will highlight healthcare sector evolution and how PHM is impacting current and future patient care. It will be held on Thurs., April 27 at Eversheds Sutherland.

Moderated by Mark Braunstein, MD, professor, School of Interactive Computer, Georgia Tech, the event features a panel of executives from healthcare and health technology companies, including:

  • Mason Beard, co-founder and CEO, Philips Wellcentive
  • Stephen Kendig, CEO, Illuma Care Connections
  • Steven Fraime, director, Center for Healthcare Transformation, Wellstar
  • Stephanie Kovalick, chief strategy officer, Sage Growth Partners

“Over the next several years, PHM will continue to transform how providers track and improve clinical outcomes while lowering costs,” said Michael Valerio, audit partner at Cherry Bekaert and chapter chair of MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta. “Our panelists will offer insightful ideas on how technology is changing patient care, and what that means for consumers and providers.”

The event begins at 6 p.m. and will be held at Eversheds Sutherland located at 999 Peachtree Street NE, 28th floor, Atlanta, GA 30309.
