Colony Square, the vibrant mixed-use community in Midtown, is excited to bring back its Signature Events series this week including Yoga on The Square, Laughs on The Square, Cornhole on The Square and Street Eats on The Square. The events are free to attend, open to the public and will run through October.
“We are thrilled to kick off the summer series with some of our favorite yoga instructors, improv groups, food trucks and cornhole teams here in the heart of Atlanta,” said Sara Carville, marketing coordinator for Colony Square. “Our signature events are designed to bring the Midtown community together to delight in the beautiful weather and celebrate the art of living well.”
Signature events at Colony Square will begin on May 3 and run through October 27. Full descriptions for each free, weekly event are as follows:
Yoga on The Square, every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. starting May 3 – Reimagine your yoga experience outdoors in the heart of Midtown Atlanta! The Square is proud to partner with local yoga studios: exhale Spa (Midtown Atlanta), CorePower Yoga (Midtown Atlanta) and Dancing Dogs Yoga Atlanta to provide complimentary yoga classes out on The Plaza. A Loyalty Program will also be launched and attendees will receive a card in which they will get a punch for each session attended. Four Yoga on The Square sessions earn guest’s fun swag ranging from water bottles to sweat bands and more!
oTo celebrate the start of the 2017 season, Colony Square will host a Launch Party featuring a live DJ, healthy eats and drinks, giveaways and more on May 3 at 6 p.m. Instructors from exhale and CorePower will teach the hour-long class to give a taste of the experience. Bring a friend, a water bottle and a mat, and be sure to share experiences on social media with #YogaOnTheSquare.
Laughs on The Square, Dad’s Garage opens series from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 4 – Laughing is good for the soul, so take a load off with Colony Square’s free comedy improv shows! Dad’s Garage will kick off the comedy series on The Plaza this Thursday, May 4 at 6 p.m. Be sure to share your experience on social media and use #reimagineCS. Colony Square will host pop-up improv nights throughout the season so be sure to stay tuned!
Cornhole on The Square, Summer Season every Thursday from 6 to 8:15 p.m. starting June 8 – The Spring Season of Cornhole on The Square is wrapping up this Thursday, May 4, so head out to Colony Square to cheer teams onto victory during the Championship Tournament! Cornhole ATL will return back to The Square for the seven-week Summer series at Colony Square starting on June 8. Street Eats on The Square, every Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. starting May 5 –TGIF! Enjoy bites from your favorite Atlanta food trucks and start your weekend off with a bang. This Friday, May 5 marks the first day of Street Eats Season and it just so happens to fall on Cinco de Mayo. Grab your amigos and come celebrate Cinco de Mayo out on The Plaza! Experience live music from a local Mariachi band, margaritas provided by Establishment, street food from The Blaxican, Yumbii, Let’s Taco About It Food Trucks and more! Snap a selfie with your friends or of your food, tag it with #reimagineCS and post to Instagram for a chance to win a prize.
