Authentic Jamaican Restaurant Opens in Glenwood Park

6/1/17

East Atlanta is getting a whole lot spicier with the opening of Festivals Jerk Chicken Grill. The fast, casual Jamaican restaurant opened its doors in Glenwood Park on May 30, and offers traditional Jamaican fare and flavors.

Located at 925 Garrett Street SE Ste L, the eatery aims to make authentic, Jamaican cuisine accessible to everyone. Specializing in jerk chicken, festivals an island favorite similar to a fried dumpling and other traditional Caribbean cuisine with American flair, there’s something for the most timid eater to the experienced Jamaican foodie.

“We’re excited to give Atlantans a taste of the island life,” said co-owner Winston Ferguson. “Festivals Jerk Chicken Grill brings unique flavors and dishes to Atlanta’s diverse restaurant scene.”

Festivals Jerk Chicken Grill also offers an array of small plates such as jerk wings, cocktail patties, and festival purses. For the patron interested in traditional jerk flavor, house specialities include a quarter, half and whole chicken options accompanied by choice of sides.

If diners are looking for something that merges American and island flavors they can dig into jerk tacos and quesadillas, jerk pizza or dishes with a milder flavor such as the Caribbean house salad filled with fresh veggies and Reggae Rolls, a Jamaican twist on the traditional egg roll.

Bring the kids along! A special menu was created just for them and includes a traditional Lollipop Chicken Drumstick, Mac ’N Cheese, Chicken Tenders and more.
