The Center for Puppetry Arts Elects New Board Officers for 2017-2018

The Center for Puppetry Arts announces the election of two new members to its Board of Directors: attorney Jeffrey Blake, partner in the Atlanta office of Merchant & Gould P.C., who specializes in intellectual property law and Nancy Scheppmann, educator and community volunteer.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff and Nancy,” said Founder and the Barbara and Bill Wylly Executive Director Vincent Anthony.  “They offer fresh perspectives and valuable experiences to an already talented and thoughtful Board of Directors.  We look forward to their leadership as we continue to grow and extend the reach of our programming.”

The Center also re-elected for the 2017-2018 year, the following members of its Board of Directors as officers:

Chairman: Allen W. Yee, The Coca-Cola Company
President & Executive Director: Vincent Anthony, Center for Puppetry Arts
Treasurer: Jim Schwarzkopf, Empire Distributors, Inc.
Secretary: Susan Pease Langford, Butler Snow LLP
Past-Chairman:  R. Michael Dunlap, Brand Bank

The Center for Puppetry Arts is one of Atlanta’s leading arts and cultural institutions. Founded in Atlanta in 1978, it is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to the art form of puppetry and home to the largest collection of Jim Henson puppets and props in the world. The Center’s programming areas include performances, educational programming and the Worlds of Puppetry Museum. The Center hosts over 200,000 people annually and reaches many more through the Center’s digital platform, the Distance Learning program. Distance Learning has provided programming in 49 states and 8 countries.
