8/2/17

Core Property Capital, LLC is proud to announce two properties in the company’s portfolio were honored as 2016 top performers in the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge (ABBC) annual recognition. Both One Atlantic Center and Tower Place 100 achieved remarkable strides in producing the highest levels of energy and water savings in the city over the past year.

One Atlantic Center is a 50-story, 1.1 million-square-foot office building located in Midtown Atlanta. To successfully reach its goal of 20 percent overall energy and water reduction, the building implemented new energy-efficient water pumps and air systems. As a result, One Atlantic Center achieved an ENERGY STAR® Score of 90 and Gold LEED certification while also reducing water usage by 28 percent, energy usage by 33 percent, greenhouse gas emissions by 25 percent and overall costs by 18 percent.

Located in Atlanta’s Buckhead district, Tower Place 100 is a 29-story, 619,586 square-foot building. The property was recognized by the ABBC as a top performer for achieving 45 percent reduction of overall water usage. Tower Place 100 strategically exceeded their goal of 20 percent reduction by implementing new strategies to monitor consumption and replaced outdated fixtures with more economical and efficient products throughout the building.

“Core Property Capital is committed to making incremental strides in improving the environment in which is does business,” said Mark G. Roth SMA, LEED AP O+M, Corporate Director of Engineering. “We are eager to continue improving our internal systems to benefit the overall health and wellbeing of both the local and global community.”
