Covenant Presbyterian Church Adds Reverend Katie Owen Aumann As Associate Pastor

8/8/17

The congregation of Covenant Presbyterian Church is pleased to welcome Rev. Katie Owen Aumann as Associate Pastor.  A graduate of Decatur’s Columbia Theological Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Divinity, Rev. Aumann will begin her work at the historic Buckhead church Sept. 1, 2017.

“I am delighted that Katie will be joining our Covenant Church family,” said Rev. Dr.  Richard Hill, senior pastor.  “For the past six years, she has served as Presbyterian Campus Minister at her alma mater, Duke University, so she will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our family and young adult ministries.  While she was a graduate student at Columbia, she interned at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church and worked in the Central Outreach and Advocacy Center at Central Presbyterian, so she is already familiar with the community.  I believe her energy and experience will be a great fit for our church and the work we do in our community and beyond,” he said.

Rev. Aumann is a native of Topeka, Kansas, and a graduate of Duke University.  She is married to Dr. Wait Aumann, a pediatric oncologist at Children’s Healthcare at Egleston.  The couple lives in Chamblee with their young daughter, Mollie.
