Industrial real estate company continues growing in Southeastern markets
GCP, the Birmingham, Ala.-based industrial real estate firm, has opened a new office in the Atlanta area to serve its properties in the region. GCP recently added more than 800,000 square feet of bulk distribution warehouse space in Atlanta and Charlotte to its portfolio, bringing the total in the area to over two million square feet.
Director of Property Management Stacey Wadsworth said, “GCP's significant growth in the Atlanta market and in Charlotte has necessitated we open a regional office to continue providing the high level of service our clients expect. We are thrilled to have Robyn Johnson join GCP as our first Atlanta-based associate, as her extensive property management experience aligns perfectly with the needs of GCP and our clients.”
Johnson comes to GCP with more than 20 years of property management experience. She will manage 11 buildings with a total of 19 tenants.
“This new office is a much needed asset as GCP continues to grow and execute its strategic plan to become one of the leading owners and operators of industrial real estate assets in the Southeast. We are fortunate to have Robyn join our team,” said GCP’s Taylor Graham, Director of Acquisitions & Leasing. The company obtained a commitment for significant new equity from its investors in 2016 that will allow the company to double its portfolio over the next 18 months. GCP presently owns almost 6 million square feet of industrial buildings in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Florida.
