Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce that Mark D. Wasserman, Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP Managing Partner and Co-CEO of Eversheds Sutherland Ltd, has been selected as one of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Most Admired CEOs for 2017. Mr. Wasserman will be honored during the publication’s annual awards reception on August 24, 2017.
This award recognizes established local leaders who have a strong vision for their companies, have shown a commitment to culture in the workplace and have made significant contributions to the metro Atlanta community.
This recognition comes just months after Mr. Wasserman was honored with the Daily Report’s Distinguished Leader Award for his role in leading the formation of the largest law firm combination in the world in 2017, bringing together US-based Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP with UK-based Eversheds LLP.
At Eversheds Sutherland, Mr. Wasserman has been the Managing Partner for 12 years, leading the firm’s lawyers and staff in collaborating to provide high-quality, efficient and creative service to the firm’s clients.
Mr. Wasserman is a seasoned corporate lawyer who has represented and advised private and public companies, both in the United States and internationally. He has counseled clients on a broad spectrum of business matters, including mergers and acquisitions and issues relating to federal and state securities laws.
In addition to his work with Eversheds Sutherland, Mr. Wasserman is also heavily involved in the community. He serves on the board of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation, and on the executive committees of the boards of Equal Justice Works and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Georgia Tech Parents Advisory Board and chairman of the Emory University School of Law Advisory Board.
Prior to being elected Managing Partner in 2005, Mr. Wasserman served as Co-Chair of Eversheds Sutherland’s Corporate Transactional team and was a member of its Executive Committee.
