Taylor English Adds Five New Attorneys

Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to welcome five attorneys to the firm including Masae Y. Okura and Mark V. Hanrahan as partners and John G. Graves, Karen Neely Louis and Hubert J. Barnhardt as counsel.

Masae Y. Okura – Atlanta

Okura joins the firm as a partner in the Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group. She represents multinational companies with emphasis on Japanese companies investing in the United States by advising on the immigration, incorporation, employment, contracts and various business matters.

Okura earned her bachelor’s degree from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and her JD/MBA joint degree from the University of South Carolina. Having passed the U.S. CPA exam, she also advises on the financial ability of employers to sponsor various nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions. She conducts business in English, Japanese and Chinese.

Mark V. Hanrahan – Atlanta

Hanrahan joins the firm as a partner in the Construction Practice Group. With more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Hanrahan has extensive experience representing clients in construction-related transactions and disputes. His clients include building owners, general contractors, developers, program managers, subcontractors and specialty equipment suppliers.

Hanrahan earned his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and his law degree from Georgia State College of Law.

John G. Graves – Atlanta

Graves joins the firm as counsel in the Intellectual Property Practice Group, with a focus on domestic and international mechanical patent prosecution. His practice encompasses conducting patentability studies, infringement and invalidity analyses, portfolio and competitor analyses, as well as drafting and negotiating intellectual property license agreements.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University, his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.

Karen Neely Louis – Atlanta

Louis joins the firm as counsel in the Corporate Practice Group. Her practice concentrates on regulatory compliance matters in the consumer financial services industry with a focus on deposit operations and mortgage lending and servicing. She has served as internal compliance counsel for a national mortgage servicer for matters regarding federal agency directives and compliance program development.

Louis earned her bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Hubert J. Barnhardt III – Atlanta

Barnhardt joins the firm as counsel in the Intellectual Property Group. He has more than 20 years of in-house and law firm experience in the field of intellectual property and technology law with a particular focus in IP strategy, patent and technology licensing, and patent portfolio development.

Barnhardt earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and his law degree from Emory University School of Law.
