PNK Group Selects Metro Atlantafor Second U.S. Distribution Center

10/2/17

PNK Group, the leading developer of industrial facilities in Russia, has selected McDonough, Georgia, for its second development in the United States. The speculative industrial development, known as Southern Gateway at Lambert Farms, will eventually total more than 3 million square feet. Pat Murphy, Ray Stache, Lisa Pittman and Tara Healy of Cushman & Wakefield have been retained as the leasing team for Southern Gateway at Lambert Farms.

“We are very excited about this investment in McDonough,” said Mark Stiles, PNK’s US Partner. “It will be our first high-profile project, and will showcase PNK’s goal of constructing top of market buildings designed for how tenants operate in the changing logistics landscape.”

The company plans to break ground in September on the first building, a 1.1 million-square-foot distribution facility with 40’ clear heights. Southern Gateway at Lambert Farms will be a labor-focused development offering top-of-the-line employee amenities, superior construction and speed-to-market. The property is pad ready for a 1.6 million-square-foot building.

“The development site offers a prime opportunity for PNK Group to make a strong entrance into the Atlanta market,” Murphy said. “It’s located near Interstate 75, the preferred access route to the Port of Savannah and the Port of Brunswick, in one of the oldest and most established submarkets for big-box development. The city of McDonough has been very attractive to major industrial users including Tory Burch, Wayfair, Scotts, Home Depot and Ghirardelli.”
