10/12/17

State Bank Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: STBZ), the holding company for State Bank and Trust Company, has been chosen as a finalist for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) 2017 Excalibur Awards.

The annual Excalibur Awards celebrate Georgia companies and organizations that demonstrate the best use of technology, typically provided by a third-party, to solve complex issues and processes in business and education. Tech-enabled companies that develop their own non-commercial technology solutions to enhance their organization are also considered for the awards, which are presented by TAG.

“It’s an honor for State Bank to be included as a finalist for this prestigious award,” said State Bank CIO David Cline. “We’re dedicated to continuing the Bank’s growth and it’s vital that we differentiate ourselves with new and innovative technology and services for our clients.”

State Bank was selected from over 60 applications submitted by companies and organizations from across Georgia.

TAG was launched in January 1999 as a merger of three of the state's largest technology organizations: the Southeastern Software Association, the Business and Technology Alliance, and Women in Technology. Headquartered in Atlanta, the organization’s mission is to educate, promote, influence and unite Georgia's technology community to foster an innovative and connected marketplace that stimulates and enhances Georgia's tech-based economy.

“We are truly pleased to honor the recipients of the 2017 Excalibur Awards,” said Larry K. Williams, president & CEO of TAG. “TAG is fueling the innovation economy. In celebrating these tech-enabled companies and organizations, we strengthen our message of Georgia’s emerging position as a national leader in technology.”

Winners are selected from among the finalists and will be officially recognized at the 2017 Excalibur Awards ceremony on October 20, 2017 at the Georgia Aquarium located at 225 Baker St NW, in Downtown Atlanta.
