Blake Cohen Joins Cushman & Wakefield as Senior Director

Cushman & Wakefield has hired industry veteran Blake Cohen as Senior Director in the firm’s Equity, Debt & Structured Finance Practice. He is responsible for arranging first-trust financing, mezzanine debt, preferred equity and joint venture equity, and is exclusively focused on multifamily transactions in the Southeast region.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Cohen was a Loan Officer at Voya Investment Management in Atlanta where he was responsible for originating commercial real estate loans ranging from $5 million to $100 million on behalf of Voya’s general account as well as third-party clients. In his six-plus years with the company, Cohen was involved in more than 100 transactions totaling in excess of $2 billion across all asset classes and spanning a variety of loan programs/risk profiles including core fixed/floating rate, value-add, bridge, subordinate debt, construction-to-permanent, participating mortgage and CMBS.

Prior to his time at Voya, Cohen spent five years in the Commercial Real Estate Group at RR Donnelley Global Real Estate Services performing a variety of underwriting, asset management and due diligence services on behalf of institutional lenders.
