ICE Founder/NYSE Chair and Former Atlanta Fed Chief to Discuss Financial Trends and Policy at Oct. 26 Luncheon

10/18/17

The World Affairs Council of Atlanta will present Jeffrey Sprecher, founder, chairman and CEO of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), and chairman of the New York Stock Exchange, in conversation with Dennis Lockhart, former president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, at a luncheon on Thursday, October 26 at the Commerce Club.

From his $1 purchase of the Continental Power Exchange in 1997 that led to ICE’s formation in 2000 to the 2013 acquisition of the New York Stock Exchange, Sprecher and ICE have driven innovation and efficiency in global markets, data and risk management. Based in Atlanta, Sprecher has grown ICE into a Fortune 500 company that operates a global network of exchanges and clearinghouses, and provides listings and data services.

Sprecher and Lockhart will discuss the global financial and policy landscape and its impact on the economy, as well as how innovative technology and customer-centric solutions shaped the success of ICE. A question-and-answer session will follow the discussion.
