New Frontiers: Talking Technology with Atlanta’s Gaming and eSports Industry

With more than a billion players online and revenues reaching close to $100 billion worldwide, the opportunities in the gaming and eSports industry are booming. And, the U.S. and Atlanta are prepared to take a slice of this pie.

On Tuesday, Oct. 24, MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta will be holding its October event on eSports and Gaming Technology at Turner Broadcast’s ELEAGUE Studio. The event features a panel of gaming industry professionals, including:

·       Matt Mosteller, VP of Content, Turner Sports

·       Todd Harris, Co-Founder & COO, Hi-Rez Studios

·       Adam Toll, Co-Founder & CEO, Haste

·       Ashish Mistry, President & CEO, Kontrol Freek

“With more than $25 billion in revenue expected in the U.S. in 2017, gaming continues to soar in popularity, especially in the Southeast region of the country,” said Michael Valerio, chapter chair of MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta. “Attendees will hear from some of Atlanta’s most successful eSports and gaming leaders, who will share what entrepreneurial and investment opportunities are on the horizon in this dynamic and growing ecosystem.”

The event begins at 6 p.m. with sandwiches, soda and socializing at Turner Broadcast’s ELEAGUE Studio, 237 10th St., NW, Atlanta, Ga. 30318. The main program and Q&A starts at 7 p.m.
