The Roswell Wine Festival Celebrates Its Fifth Sell-out Event

ROSWELL, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Roswell Wine Festival was proud to commemorate its fifth year with a sell out event on Sunday, October 1st. Tickets for the highly sought-after festival sold out in only 12 days and included over 1,700 attendees who traveled from as far as California. The 2017 event featured over 250 wines from around the globe as well as approximately 75 local restaurant and business participants and over a dozen local artists and galleries.

To celebrate its fifth year, attendees were greeted with swag bags that included wine-related gifts from festival sponsors. Platinum sponsors of the 2017 festival included: Hennessy Jaguar Land Rover North Point, Cruise Planners | Michael Consoli and restaurant sponsors Osteria Mattone, Table & Main and Vin25. Because of the festival’s success, co-founders Dwight Cunningham and Peggy Robinson were invited to take part in the Southern California Food & Wine Radio Show. “We are so excited to see how the community has embraced the event,” states Dwight Cunningham, co-founder. “We had no idea when we got started it would be such a success.” Peggy Robinson, co-founder, added, “It is tremendously rewarding to have created a landmark event for the city that has long-lasting impact on the local community.”

The festival is an entirely volunteer-based organization which operates as a 501c3. The 2017 festival benefitted Keep Roswell Beautiful. Proceeds from past festivals have gone to: ArtAround Roswell, Friends of Roswell Parks, Roswell Fine Arts Alliance and Bert’s Big Adventure.
