1/3/18

Congratulations to Firefly Distillery! The craft distillery recently announced plans to expand its operations with a new $7.3 million facility in North Charleston.

The project involves rehabbing a former public works transfer site into a residential and tourist destination. The new facility will include greater distillation capabilities, expanded tours and tastings, and more retail space. Company officials expect the distillery to be operational by the fall of 2019.

A Womble Bond Dickinson team led by Stephanie Yarbrough represented Firefly in economic development matters related to this expansion project. The economic development team also included lawyers Brandy Davis and Kevin Trempe and senior paralegal Denise Herlihy. In addition, Womble Bond Dickinson’s Beth Settle handled the real estate work for Firefly on this deal.

Firefly’s popular line of spirits includes its Sweet Tea Vodka, flavored Moonshines and Southern Lemonade.
