CBRE Continues to Strengthen Valuation and Advisory Services in Southeast Region

CBRE announced today that the firm has recruited seven valuation & advisory services (VAS) professionals in its Charleston office, expanding the South Carolina VAS presence from one to eight professionals. All seven team members join CBRE from Colliers International.

Led by Director Curt McCall, MAI, the group includes Chase Jones, Christina Dominy, John Colleary, Ben Perrone, Mason Sullivan, and Karen Wing. Together, the team brings specialty experience in senior housing, multifamily, self-storage, hospitality, marinas and golf courses, as well as general commercial real estate property types.

Mr. McCall and the team will report to Southeast VAS Senior Managing Director Ron Neyhart, based in Atlanta, Georgia. The team’s primary target area is the state of South Carolina, along with coastal properties in Georgia and North Carolina.

“CBRE has built the largest commercial real estate valuation service in the Americas with deep experience in the core property types: office, retail, industrial and multifamily. Recently, we have strengthened specialty property types such as senior housing, hotels and other areas in which this team has deep knowledge. Curt and the group’s relationships in the South Carolina region and our experience in core property types in this region will allow us to greatly enhance the appraisal offering here,” said Mr. Neyhart.

Mr. McCall is an industry veteran with nearly 30 years of commercial real estate experience in Charleston. He ran his own firm for 15 years before joining Colliers four years ago, with the current team.

“CBRE offers a stronger platform for us to grow and expand our market share,” said Mr. McCall. “We went to the last venture as a team and we’re all excited to join together again and be with the ‘big green.’ We’ve had strong relationships with the Valuation leaders at CBRE and know the excellent reputation of the brokerage team in South Carolina, and this move puts us in the place to work alongside those experts and continue to learn and grow.”

Over the last year, CBRE has added seven professionals from Colliers International in the Atlanta office as well, including Senior Managing Director Eric Durden. Mr. Durden recruited many of the appraisers in Atlanta and has a strong working relationship with Mr. McCall, which McCall stated was part of the group’s decision in starting 2018 with CBRE.
