Stevens & Wilkinson’s Kirk Marchisen Selected to Serve on School Construction News’ 2018 Editorial Advisory Board

Stevens & Wilkinson announced today Kirk Marchisen, vice president and principal of the firm’s Atlanta office, has been selected for a second consecutive year to serve on School Construction News’editorial advisory board.The 2018 editorial advisory board will be announced in the publication’s January/February issue when it is released later this month.

As a member of the publication’s editorial advisory board and a thought leader in the architecture industry, Marchisen will help set the tone and direction of School Construction News’ editorial programby helping the editorial staff write and produce engaging stories involving news and trends in the industry. This year’s board comprises both returning and first-time members representing different geographical regions as well as different facets of the school construction, design, maintenance and operations industry. Editorial advisory board members were selected based on their professional accomplishments and qualifications and their dedication to innovation within the industry.

“I am honored to continue serving on School Construction News’ editorial advisory board with a number of my distinguished colleagues in the field,” said Marchisen. “We continually see innovative design practices in K-12 and higher education environments, and I am excited to share this expertise in such a prominent publication with other design and construction professionals.”

With over 30 years of experience, Marchisen has worked extensively with educational facilities across Georgia, including projects with Fulton County Schools, Cobb County Schools, Atlanta Public Schools and Morgan County Schools. Marchisen earned both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a registered architect in the state of Georgia.
