Van der Lande Joins CBRE Hotels as SVP
Van der Lande
Bernard Van der Lande, an Atlanta-based veteran of the international hospitality investment sales industry, has joined CBRE Hotels group as a Senior Vice President, where he will focus on helping clients meet their global capital needs in the hotels/hospitality sector.
Mr. Van der Lande joins CBRE Hotels from hotel brokerage Hodges Ward Elliott (HWE), where he was a Senior Vice President. In addition, as Managing Director of Asia Pacific and Latin America operations, he focused on hospitality investment strategy and new-business development in emerging markets.
Van der Lande completed nearly $1 billion in transaction volume between 2009 and 2011, approximately half of which involved foreign participation.
During his four years with HWE, Mr. Van der Lande completed a number of significant transactions, including Lodgian, Inc.’s privatization and capitalization of the 669-key YOTEL New York, and the sale of The Fairmont Dallas.
Van der Lande is a dual citizen of Dutch descent and is a graduate of Davidson College.
