Arnall Golden Gregory Managing Partner Takes Reins at American Bar Association Section of International Law

ATLANTA, August 20, 2009 - Glenn P. Hendrix, managing partner of Atlanta law firm Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, was inducted as chair of the American Bar Association's Section of International Law (http://www.abanet.org/intlaw/home.html) on August 4, 2009, at the ABA 2009 Annual Meeting in Chicago.

As chair, Hendrix will lead the 23,000+ member section which serves as a gateway between U.S. lawyers and the rest of the world. He also joins the Board of Directors of the ABA's Rule of Law Initiative (https://www.abanet.org/rol).

"With members representing more than 90 countries, this is truly an international organization; one that I am proud to help guide over the coming year," says Hendrix. "We serve as a portal for U.S. lawyers to collaborate with legal professionals from around the world and vice versa. We strive to globally expand the rule of law, and help our members develop skills that will make them more successful in navigating international law."

Hendrix has been active in the Section of International Law since 1997. Among other positions, he formerly co-chaired the International Litigation Committee, the International Legal Exchange Committee and a task force on the Alien Tort Statute. In addition to his ABA positions, Hendrix serves on the arbitration panel of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, is an arbitrator in International Chamber of Commerce proceedings and serves on the State Department's Advisory Committee on Private International Law.

In 2003, Hendrix was a private sector advisor on U.S. State Department delegations to The Hague and in 2004 was part of bilateral discussions concerning Russia's implementation of The Hague Evidence and Service Conventions. He maintains an active practice in commercial and administrative dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration and administrative appeals.

In addition to Hendrix's involvement with the Section of International Law, 12 other Arnall Golden Gregory attorneys hold leadership positions with the American Bar Association.

Arnall Golden Gregory LLP is an Atlanta law firm that helps clients across a broad range of industries -- including healthcare and life sciences, food distribution, real estate, telecommunications, manufacturing, and others -- turn legal challenges into business opportunities.
