World Chamber of Commerce Calls for Kenyan Consulate in Atlanta, GA

Kennesaw, Georgia. Speaking at the 2nd Kenya Diaspora International Conference and Investment Forum (the "Forum") at Kennesaw State University on August 22, 2009, Tom McLain, secretary of the World Chamber of Commerce (the "WCC"), called for the establishment of a Kenyan Consulate in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. McLain, who is also a corporate and international lawyer with Chorey, Taylor & Feil in Atlanta, acknowledged the presence of the Kenyan Embassy in Washington and of the consular offices in New York and Los Angles, but argued that Atlanta was the key to unlocking a very favorable trade region for Kenya. "Kenya needs to establish a full consular office in Atlanta, or, at the very least, an honorary consul," said McLain to the applause of the attendees at the Forum. Mr. McLain also spoke on the role of the WCC in supporting trade initiatives among Georgia, Kenya, and the Kenya Diaspora.

The WCC supports international trade.  To learn more about the WCC, go to http://www.worldchamberc.org/ or call Solange Warner, president and founder, at (678) 938-4605 or Tom McLain, secretary. at 404 841-3200
