Mark Pasquale Named Chief Information Officer for Piedmont Healthcare

ATLANTA (September 10, 2009) - Mark Pasquale has been named vice president of Information Services and chief information officer for Piedmont Healthcare (PHC). He is responsible for the operation of the PHC Information Services division and corresponding management activities.
Pasquale has more than 25 years of information technology experience. Prior to joining Piedmont Healthcare, he was vice president of Information Services for St. John's Health System in Springfield, Mo., a $1.4 billion, six-hospital system that is part of the Sisters of Mercy Health System headquartered in St. Louis.

Prior to joining St. John's Health System, Pasquale served as a director of application development for McKesson Corporation. Earlier in his career, he worked as an information systems manager for organizations in the manufacturing and municipal government sectors. In 2005, he began serving as an adjunct faculty member for Webster University in Springfield, teaching graduate courses in healthcare administration and information data security.
Pasquale holds a master's degree in business administration from Webster University and a bachelor's degree in general studies with a computer science major from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Ill. He and his wife, Barb, have two children, and are relocating to Atlanta.
