Hall Booth Smith & Slover, P.C. Relocating to Downtown Atlanta

Hall Booth Smith & Slover, P.C., a full-service law firm with eight offices throughout Georgia, Nashville, TN, and Charleston, SC, announced that the firm, with over 100 attorneys, has signed a letter of intent to move to One Ninety One Peachtree when its current lease expires in 2010.

According to the firm's Senior Partner Rush Smith, the company will take 55,000 sq ft. Addison Meriwether, John O'Neil and Travis Jackson at Cushman and Wakefield represented the firm in this transaction.

The Hall Booth Smith & Slover parent firm first opened its doors in Peachtree Center in 1982 and has since operated its offices in both Midtown and Downtown Atlanta. The firm's Atlanta office has been located at Atlantic Center Plaza in Midtown Atlanta since 2003.

Owned and managed by Atlanta-based Cousins Properties, One Ninety One Peachtree was designed by New York's Johnson/Burgee Architects. The 50-story landmark is a three-time Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) award winner.

"Our new space at 191 Peachtree allows us to demonstrate our support for the re-emergence of downtown Atlanta as a vibrant community for business and tourism," said John E. Hall, Jr., founding partner of the Atlanta office of Hall, Booth, Smith & Slover. "We also believe in the importance of working with Atlanta-based companies like Cousins to continue to invest in the local economy. Cousins Properties demonstrated throughout the negotiations its commitment to downtown and their understanding of the needs of professional service firms including security, access to highways, public transportation and air travel. We are pleased with the terms of the deal and are confident that we can continue to serve our clients in an efficient and cost effective fashion as a result."

Hall Booth Smith & Slover's decision to relocate to downtown Atlanta follows recent announcements from other local and national organizations planning to build or lease space in the city's core, including the College Football Hall of Fame and Center for Civil and Human Rights, and the firm's fellow tenants in 191 Peachtree - The Commerce Club, Cousins Properties and Deloitte.

The Atlanta office of Hall Booth Smith & Slover is the largest of its eight regional offices and serves as the firm's headquarters for servicing clients throughout the state, region and nation. From its offices in Tennessee and South Carolina, as well as Atlanta and throughout the state of Georgia, the firm's practice groups include health care, elder services, professional malpractice, transportation, governmental affairs, representation of regulated public utilities, construction and employment law.
