Acadia Healthcare Acquires Peninsula Village Residential Treatment Center

ATLANTA -- Acadia Healthcare (Acadia) today announced the acquisition of Peninsula Village from Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Peninsula Village, a 145-bed residential treatment center located in Louisville, TN, is a residential treatment center serving adolescents ages 13-17 suffering from emotional and/or behavioral disorders who have not responded to less intensive treatment approaches. The facility's name will change to The Village. Under Acadia ownership, The Village will look to continue to provide the same level of commitment to quality care that has been a hallmark at Peninsula Village for over 20 years.

"Acadia has extensive experience in the provision and treatment of adolescent residential services and is excited to add The Village to its family of services," said Trey Carter, President and CEO of Acadia.

"Village employees will become Acadia employees and business will proceed as normal to ensure a seamless transition for patients, families and employees." "It is a pleasure to announce the completion of this acquisition and we look forward to welcoming The Village to the Acadia family."

About Acadia - Headquartered in Atlanta, Acadia Healthcare was established in January 2006 to develop and operate a network of behavioral health centers across the country. Acadia facilities provide premier psychiatric and chemical dependency services to its patients in a variety if settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers and outpatient clinics and therapeutic school-based programs.
