Studioplex Is the Place for Business - Perfect Location for Small Businesses to Take Advantage of Loans Available Through Atlanta Development Authority

ATLANTA -- November 05, 2009 - For small business owners and entrepreneurs, the physical location of your business may actually make a big difference during the current economic times. For owners of start-up or existing businesses who are contemplating the use of a small business loan in order for their company to grow, or sometimes, just to survive in this economic downturn, it is interesting to know that Studioplex (www.studioplexlofts.com), the live/work community in Atlanta's historic Old Fourth Ward, is located in a district that qualifies for many different small business loans that are available through the Atlanta Development Authority (ADA - www.atlantada.com).

In particular, the Business Improvement Loan Fund and the Empowerment Zone Program both offer loans up to $200,000 targeted by its location. For details and conditions, see
www.atlantada.com/entprnrSmallBus/commercialL...
.

The Business Improvement Loan Fund encourages the revitalization of targeted business districts, such as the area where Studioplex is located, and supports development. For start-up businesses, these direct loans ($50,000 maximum, $50 application fee) are given for a period of 3 to 7 years and require a 20% equity injection.

The Empowerment Zone Program offers direct loans to stimulate economic development in the Empowerment Zone between $25,000 and $200,000 ($100 application fee) while the loan terms range from 5 to 15 years depending on the purpose of the loan (inventory and working capital, fixed assets, leaseholder improvements and property acquisition).

"I am truly impressed by the efforts of the Atlanta Development Authority to present opportunities for new and existing businesses through these amazing loans," notes Dillon Baynes, owner of Studioplex. "Especially if a company is able to create or retain jobs, these loans are offered on much more lenient terms than ever before."

To learn if a company is eligible for these or other loans administered by the ADA, contact Cathy Brackett at the ADA, (404) 880-4100.

"Studioplex offers a great environment for small businesses in an excellent location in the heart of Atlanta," continues Baynes. "In our live/work environment, there is something here for everyone, so come and check us out. Of course, we would be happy to give you a private tour so that you will understand why so many small businesses want to be part of our vibrant community at Studioplex."
