Davis, Pickren, Seydel & Sneed, LLP (www.dpsslegal.com) announced today that Michelle W. Koufman has joined the firm as a partner. Ms. Koufman will lead the firm’s new Trusts and Estates practice group, assisting clients in matters related to estate planning, estate, trust, and probate administration, special needs and Medicaid trust planning, guardianships/conservatorships, family business succession planning, charitable giving, and taxation.

Ms. Koufman was most recently a partner at Koufman, Levine & Greiner, LLP, where she advised clients on trusts and estates, tax law, elder law, and complex federal and state government regulations. Prior to that, Ms. Koufman was the founding member of the elder care law firm of Michelle W. Koufman, LLC. She has also served as an associate wealth strategist with U.S. Trust Bank of America Private Wealth Management and as the director of trusts and estates settlement with the Arthritis Foundation’s Planned Giving Department.
Ms. Koufman currently serves on the Executive Board of Jewish Home Life Communities. Additionally, she has participated as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Southeastern Region of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Philanthropic Advisory Leadership Institute, ADL’s Glass Leadership Institute, and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers Leadership Academy.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and her Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law.
